Kate Noble
Kate Noble, age 4, is one of Cincinnati Children's little heroes. Despite having undergone three major heart surgeries, several less invasive procedures, and preparing for another heart surgery this summer, Kate lives with an exuberant energy and enthusiasm for life. Her father, John, jokes that she lives as though "No one ever told her she has a heart condition." Kate's mom, Karen, who nominated her daughter to receive our gift package says, "She is a treasure and a joy to be around."
The McGarry-Noble family represents strength, hope and belief. Their positive approach to Kate's condition inspired the Art with a Heart team, which recently sent the family on an outing that included tickets to Noah's Ark performed by the Children's Theatre of Cincinnati, dinner at Kona Bistro, and hair makeoevers from Cookie Cutters Hair Salon.
Kate and her six year old sister, Zoe, were dazzled by the sparkling rainbow that appeared at the end of the play. The entire family enjoyed their dinner at Kona and experiencing a different part of Cincinnati that they rarely get to visit. Karen says, "The girls had a great time and every step was a surprise. All in all, it was a brilliant day."
