Cincinnati Children's Policies and Procedures
Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center has a legal and ethical responsibility to safeguard the privacy of all patients and protect the confidentiality of their health information.
In order to provide secure computer based systems and ensure the confidentiality of information entrusted to Cincinnati Children's, all users must adhere to Cincinnati Children's policies and procedures when accessing any computer based system, owned or managed by Cincinnati Children's.
To be permitted to use VPN to connect to Cincinnati Children's, Vendors will agree to the following:
- The Vendor must install and use IPSEC client software provided by Cincinnati Children's for VPN access to Cincinnati Children's
- THE IPSEC client software will not permit the vendor to access the Vendor's network on the same device the Vendor is using to connect to Cincinnati Children's network
- The Vendor's VPN account will expire 1 year from issue date; prior to that date, the vendor will be contacted for renewal validation
The Vendor also agrees that by accepting a sign-on / password, the Vendor has read, understands and agrees to the relevant Cincinnati Children's policies and procedures available:
