About

Biography

I'm a child abuse clinical fellow, best described as a board-certified pediatrician receiving an additional three years of training in child abuse prevention. At the Mayerson Center for Safe and Healthy Children at Cincinnati Children's, our primary goal is to protect children and keep them safe and healthy. I work to provide various services to abused and neglected children and their families.

I absolutely love being part of a multidisciplinary specialty involved in positive change during such a vulnerable and sensitive time in these children's lives. As a physician who aligns with the children, I assist them on their journeys to physical and emotional well-being.

My philosophy is to meet children and families where they are and empower them. I want the children who seek our care to leave in better shape than when they first came into care. As child abuse pediatricians, we are also uniquely positioned as physicians who often educate other medical staff and non-medical community members such as social workers, lawyers and law enforcement on various medical, child abuse, social and trauma-informed care topics.

Through my fellowship research, I would like to improve and standardize the follow-up care of sexually abused children, specifically regarding human papillomavirus (HPV) counseling and vaccination.

When I'm not at work, I love to spend time with my family and friends. I love to travel, have a good time, dance, sing, cook, eat and engage in new experiences.
