Dr. Matlock was born and raised in the Kansas City area. She attended Washington University in St. Louis for her undergraduate education prior to completing medical school at the University of Missouri-Columbia School of Medicine in 2012. During medical school, she used her passion for serving her community and underserved populations by volunteering at the Boys and Girls Club and other local outreach networks through Student National Medical Association.
In 2012, she began her pediatric residency training at Cincinnati Children's and later remained at the institution for a fellowship in endocrinology.
