Jacob M. Redel, MD, completed medical school at the University of Missouri-Columbia. He was a resident in Pediatrics at Cincinnati Children's Hospital from 2011-2014. He then completed a year as Chief Resident in Pediatrics and as a Pediatric Hospitalist from 2014-2015. He began his clinical fellowship in Pediatric Endocrinology in July 2015.

As a clinical fellow, he has presented research at the Cincinnati Children's Thomas F. Boat Lectures and at the American Diabetes Association (ADA) national meeting. At the ADA's 76th Annual Scientific Sessions in New Orleans, LA, he presented the abstract "Brain Gray Matter Volume Changes in Youth with Type 2 Diabetes" at the Presidential Oral Session.
