The Genetics Education Program for Nurses (GEPN) at Cincinnati Children’s provides access to continuing education, helping nurses meet genetic and genomic nursing competencies, and instructional resources to help nursing faculty add genetics and genomics content to their curricula. The GEPN is an extension of the Genetics Program for Nursing Faculty (GPNF), originally funded by the National Institutes of Health and the Health Resources and Services Administration. Over 9000 nurses and nursing students representing all 50 states and 10 different countries have completed one or more of our offerings.
Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center (OH-046, 9/1/2018) is an approved provider of continuing education by the Ohio Nurses Association (OBN-001-91), an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.
