Elite Membership Aids Research
With a recent invitation to join the National Cancer Institute’s Pediatric Brain Tumor Consortium, Cincinnati Children’s is only the second center in the country to be a member of all four of the highly competitive and elite pediatric cancer drug development collaborations. Cincinnati Children’s will work with other leaders to conduct research to better understand childhood brain tumors and develop more effective treatment options.
Heart Institute Hosts Grand Opening
The Cincinnati Children’s Heart Institute is now able to better meet the growing needs of patients and families thanks to a complete redesign of its physical space, which was finalized in October. During a grand opening reception, patients, families and community members toured the inviting space featuring separate waiting areas for our pediatric patients and adult patients with congenital heart disease, as well as more patient rooms for the growing number of patients at the institute. Paintings and sculptures from signature artist Mackenzie Thorpe complete the space.
