Pediatric Environmental Exposures Study (PEES)
What: A study to learn more about the role that the environment plays in determining why some children develop worse allergy and asthma symptoms than others
Who: Children and teens 5 to 17 years old who:
- Have a diagnosis of asthma, and
- Are taking a controller medication
Pay: Families may receive up to $40 for this one-visit study.

Reading Difficulties Study for Children 8 to 12 Years Old
Reading Intervention Training and MRI Study
What: This is a research study to compare the brain activity of children who have reading difficulties to that of typical readers following a training program. Some participants may also be asked to have an MRI.
Who: Children 8 to 12 years old who:
- Have reading difficulties and
- Have no history of mental illness or head trauma
Pay: Up to $150 for two visits ($75 each visit) and reading intervention training at no charge
