Scott Hamlin, formerly chief financial officer for Cincinnati Children’s, has been promoted to the new position of executive vice president and chief operating officer.

“As Cincinnati Children’s works to achieve the ambitious goals of our strategic plan, our management structure must evolve to serve our changing needs,” says Michael Fisher, president and CEO of Cincinnati Children’s. “In his new role, Scott will coordinate closely with clinical, research and business operations leadership to make sure our critical day-to-day operations are safe and that we are making progress toward our strategic plan goals.”

Fisher says his role as CEO is increasingly devoted to strategy, advocacy, philanthropy and fostering new areas of growth.

“Those who have worked with Scott know his passion for our vision and mission, and his commitment to improving outcomes, experience and value for patients and families,” Fisher says. “He has demonstrated the strong business, financial, management and leadership skills needed for this important new executive position.”

Hamlin will continue to oversee the Finance Department while a search begins for a new CFO.
