Jaimie Nathan, MD, has been named director of the Intestinal Transplant Program for the Division of Pediatric General and Thoracic Surgery at Cincinnati Children’s.
Nathan completed his general surgery training at Duke University, his pediatric surgery training at Cincinnati Children’s and his transplant fellowship at the University of Cincinnati. He has been on the faculty at Children’s since 2009.
Nathan brings excellent clinical and organizational skills to the bowel transplant program and has an active research laboratory. His research work has included studies of liver transplantation outcomes and developing animal models to study liver injury that can result when infants must rely on chronic administration of parenteral nutrition.
