Fig A:  The chart illustrates the importance of early interventions and long-term care strategies in halting the progression of chronic kidney disease in children with cloaca. The 44 patients studied were all treated only at Cincinnati Children’s. It also shows the severity of cloaca. Of the 11 children in the initial cohort who were not studied, six died and three were treated at one time at other institutions.
