The Impact of Weight on Quality of Life – Kids (IWQOL-Kids) © is a validated self-report measure of weight-related quality of life for youth ages 11-19. The four subscales (physical comfort, body esteem, social life and family relations) and total score have strong psychometric properties, discriminate among weight status groups and are responsive to weight change. Meg Zeller, PhD, and Avani Modi, PhD, were key investigators in the development and validation of this measure for which Cincinnati Children’s shares copyrights with Ronette Kolotkin, PhD.
