Amanda joined the Drotar Lab in June 2015 after receiving her Master of Arts in Psychology from Xavier University in May 2015. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and her Bachelor of Science in Justice Systems from Truman State University. She is the current coordinator for the SMART-2 study, which examines treatment adherence and self-management in adolescents with Type 1 Diabetes. She is interested in pursuing a PhD in clinical psychology with an emphasis on pediatric psychology. Her interests focus on the relationships among social factors, specifically family conflict; psychopathology, and adherence in patients with chronic medical conditions
Jennifer joined the Drotar Lab in June 2007 after obtaining a Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology at the University of Dayton in May 2007. She completed her pre-doctoral internship at Boston Children’s Hospital. She completed her graduate training at the University of Cincinnati and obtained a doctorate in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Pediatric Psychology. She has worked on several research projects, including two R01s and several pilot studies, all investigating treatment adherence and self-management in children and adolescents with chronic conditions. Jennifer is currently a Postdoctoral Fellow in Psychology at Boston Children’s Hospital. Her research and clinical interests include treatment adherence and self-management in pediatric chronic illness populations, advanced statistical modeling, and developing innovative interventions and measurement models for treatment adherence and self-management.
