Rebecca Crowther is an MD, PhD student in the University of Cincinnati’s Medical Scientist Training Program. She received her Bachelor of Science in biological sciences from Rowan University in New Jersey. She is currently pursuing a PhD through the Immunology Graduate Program. Her current research focuses on the role of L-arginine metabolism in the T cell response to mycobacterial vaccination and infection.

Melanie McKell joined the Qualls Lab in 2016. She is pursuing her PhD through the Immunology Graduate Program following successfully navigating her doctoral candidacy exam in summer 2017.  Melanie is a Cincinnati native, and graduated with her Bachelor of Science in microbiology from Miami University.

Stephanie Schmidt joined the Qualls Lab in 2014, but has been at Cincinnati Children’s since 2003. Stephanie is an Ohio native and Xavier University alumna.
