Join us September 14-16, 2017 in Cincinnati for the 27th International Symposium on Adult Congenital Heart Disease. The program is intended for pediatric and adult medical providers, including nursing and allied health professionals, seeking to improve adult congenital heart disease care.

With over 1.3 million adults in the United States alone, adult congenital heart disease (ACHD) has become a local and global health issue. In its 27th year, the International Symposium on Adult Congenital Heart Disease brings experts from around the world to deliver the latest findings of cutting-edge research as well as practical advice for the treatment of these patients. This meeting offers opportunities for the novice to the ACHD specialist to learn, share strategies and build relationships – with the ultimate goal of improving the lives of adults with congenital heart disease.

An expert panel of international faculty will speak to a broad curriculum as well as the following special emphasis topics:

  • The Fontan circulation and its multi-organ consequences
  • Ventricular failure and its management
  • Pulmonary hypertension and advanced therapies
  • Maternal-fetal care for women with ACHD
  • Novel interventions and surgical approaches
  • Neurodevelopmental outcomes and assessment in ACHD

Cardiac fellow attendees are invited to an interactive Fellows Summit hosted by experts in the fields of cardiac research, imaging, electrophysiology, intervention, heart failure and pulmonary hypertension.

Physician Credit
Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

Cincinnati Children’s designates this live activity for a maximum of 16.75 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Nursing Credit
16.75 contact hours will be awarded to nurses who attend the entire program and complete an evaluation tool. Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center is an approved provider of continuing nursing education by the Ohio Nurses Association, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.
