Blood Samples Needed from People Who Have Recovered from COVID-19 / Coronavirus

Why are we doing this research?

To support multiple research projects related to COVID-19, Cincinnati Children’s is creating a database of people who have recovered from COVID-19 and are willing to be contacted regarding future research studies. We are currently specifically seeking people that are willing to donate blood samples that will be used to better understand how people recover from COVID-19 infections, in support of developing better laboratory tests and other future research.

Who can participate?

Children, teens and adults who:

  • Were diagnosed with COVID-19, via a laboratory test more than 21 days ago

and

  • Are willing and able to donate a blood sample

What will happen in the study?

We are asking you to complete a short questionnaire on the internet with information about you or your child. This information will be provided to researchers at Cincinnati Children’s that will then contact you regarding specific research projects. We are currently specifically looking for people that have recovered from COVID-19 and are willing to donate blood samples that will be used to better understand how people recover from COVID-19 infections, in support of developing better laboratory tests.

What are the good things that can happen from this research?

You or your child will not have a direct medical benefit. However, however your participation in this research may help us better understand COVID-19 and how to better diagnosis and treat others in the future.

Will you/your child be paid to be in this research study?

There is no pay to participate in this study.
