Online Survey Study for Healthy Overweight Teens and Young Women and Men 14 to 23 Years Old

Why are we doing this research?

Cincinnati Children’s is conducting a research study to learn more about pain and mobility.

Who can participate?

Healthy overweight teens and young women and men 14 to 23 years old may be eligible to participate.

What will happen in the study?

You will be participating in a control group and will answer survey questions online about pain and mobility. Your survey answers will be compared with the answers of patients who have slipped capital femoral epiphysis (SCFE). The survey will take about 30 minutes to complete.

What are the good things that can happen from this research?

The information we learn from this study may help patients with SCFE in the future.

What are the bad things that can happen from this research?

Possible risks and discomforts will be discussed with adult participants or parents interested in learning more about the study.

Will you/your child be paid to be in this research study?

Participants will be mailed a $25 gift card for participation.
