Eliyahu Perl
MTSP Student
I am an MSTP student at the University of Cincinnati. I attained my PhD in Molecular and Developmental Biology in 2022 in the Waxman lab (Cincinnati Children’s) for elucidating the first role for SNARE proteins during cardiac development, inspired by a patient with a novel pathogenic STX4 variant identified at Cincinnati Children’s. I hope to advance my academic interests in pediatric genetics, cardiac organogenesis, and the recurrence of structural congenital heart diseases by pursuing combined training in Pediatrics/Medical Genetics and Genomics, beginning in 2024.
