  • Who Was Aaron Perlman?

    meet-the-team-perlman-video-200x200

One of the reasons children with cerebral palsy come to Cincinnati Children’s is the legacy left by one doctor: Aaron W. Perlman. An orthopaedic surgeon, he was a pioneering physician who dedicated his life to improving the care and quality of life for children with cerebral palsy. He founded the Cincinnati Children’s cerebral palsy clinic in 1973 and became an internationally recognized leader in the field. He also played important roles in treatment of muscular dystrophy, juvenile rheumatoid arthritis, scoliosis and other physical disabilities. Perlman passed away at age 96 in 2011.
