Programs and Services for Developmental Disorders and Behavioral Problems

Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics sees children from infants to young adults. Children are referred by their physicians when they have known or possible developmental delays, disabilities, learning difficulties or behavior challenges. We offer diagnostic evaluations, therapy, family support and resources for children and adolescents with a wide range of developmental and behavioral conditions.

Specialty Programs

Spina Bifida Center

The Spina Bifida Center provides comprehensive, family-centered care to infants, children and adolescents living with repaired myelomeningoceles and other neural tube defects. In addition to medical service and care coordination, we are committed to becoming a leader in spina bifida education and research.

Kelly O'Leary Center for Autism Spectrum Disorders

The Kelly O'Leary Center for Autism Spectrum Disorders program provides specialized diagnostic, consultative and short-term treatment options when your child is diagnosed with autism or an autism spectrum disorder (ASD). Our services range from multidisciplinary evaluations, therapeutic programming sessions, individualized behavior intervention strategies, treatment, training and consultation.

Rubinstein-Taybi Syndrome Program

The Rubinstein-Taybi Syndrome Program offers consultation services and care to individuals with RTS and their families worldwide. The program conducts in-person clinical evaluations, physician consultations and referrals to support patients and their families.

Thomas Center for Down Syndrome Services

The Thomas Center for Down Syndrome Services provides a centralized location to receive a range of innovative care and support services. Comprehensive evaluations, treatment programs and consultation services are available.

TrYAD Transition Clinic

The TrYAD Transition Clinic is dedicated to serving the unique transition needs of youth and young adults with intellectual disabilities. The clinic promotes self-management, advocacy and continuity of care through a graduated transition process that can help your young adult with intellectual disabilities transition into adulthood.

Support Services

Child Life

Child life specialists make the healthcare experience easier and less stressful for patients and families. They are professionally trained members of the healthcare team with degrees in child development or related fields, and provide a range of services for children and families.

Psychology

Our licensed clinical psychologists and highly trained education coordinators are a vital part of the interdisciplinary team. They provide diagnostic and treatment services for children and adolescents suspected of having cognitive, psychological, behavioral and/or academic problems.

Social Services

Our social workers are a vital part of the interdisciplinary team and provide services to families and children seen for assessment and/or treatment. They can help you and your child cope with the practical and emotional concerns that accompany diagnosis and treatment of many developmental and behavioral disorders and problems.

Speech-language Pathology

Speech-language pathologists provide comprehensive diagnostic evaluations, consultations and treatment services to maximize your child's communication skills at home, school and within the community. All of our speech-language pathologists are specialists in working with children with developmental and behavioral concerns and disabilities.
