Biagini Myers Lab

  • Biagini Myers Lab

The long-term goals of the Biagini Myers lab are to improve the health of children by conducting research that promotes the reduction and prevention of environmental exposures and investigating the relationships of genomics with these exposures. Current research interests of the Biagini Myers lab include:

    • Genetic contributors to pediatric asthma and allergic disease
    • Interplay between genetics and secondhand smoke exposures in asthma development and severity
    • The role of smoke exposures in gene expression in children
    • Disparities in environmental exposures and allergic diseases
    • Biologic markers of exposure assessment and the effectiveness of smoking bans at reducing pediatric smoke exposure and asthma morbidity
