Research Cores

The Digestive Health Center at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center.

The four themes of the Digestive Health Center (DHC) are linked by highly innovative biomedical research cores that are listed below in order to facilitate patient-based research. Collectively they form a powerful infrastructure that fosters the development of personalized and predictive medical approaches to digestive diseases. These cores provide members with the latest advancements in technology and assist in experimental design.

Remember to acknowledge the use of the core facilities in all publications by stating:
"This project was supported in part by PHS Grant P30 DK078392."

Bioinformatics Core
The Bioinformatics Core provides statistical and computational analysis for the complex experiments
performed in the Gene Expression and Sequencing Core.
Gene Expression and Sequencing Core
The Gene Expression and Sequencing Core offers state of the art gene expession technology such as microarray and SNP analysis.
Integrative Morphology Core
The Integrative Morphology Core provides technical support for morphology studies, including immunohistochemistry and in situ hybridization, and expertise for microscopic and pathologic evaluation. Additional services are confocal, 2-photon and electron microscopy and laser capture microdissection.
Clinical Component
The Clinical Component supports biostatistical services and the infrastructure to implement and monitor execution of disease-based clinical research.
Flow Cytometry Service
The Flow Cytometry Service is a functionally integrated core providing diverse flow cytometric applications for characterization and purification of cells from mixed cell suspensions.
