Membership Guidelines
DHC membership is granted to Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center and University of Cincinnati Faculty based on the following criteria:
Full Membership "Investigator"
- Strong professional interest in digestive disease research
- Has actively funded independent peer-reviewed research in digestive disease
- Interact with at least one other member of DHC or a Director of DHC core
- Being a DHC Core Facility Director also qualifies as Full Membership.
Associate Membership
- Recently entered into digestive disease research but does not meet all the criteria for full membership
- Scientist with interests related to the DHC mission however does not meet all the criteria for full membership
Membership Privileges
- Discounted rates at the core facilities
- Priority use of the core facilities
- Priority registration for core facility workshops
- Inclusion on mailing and distribution lists
Obligations of Membership
- Participate regularly in DHC activities (i.e. attend weekly seminars, annual symposia and workshops)
- Providing requested information in a timely manner for use of the DHC administration
- Acknowledgement of the use of the core facilities and assistance in research funding by stating:
"This project was supported in part by PHS Grant DK P30 DK0789392."
Membership Renewal
Status of Full Members will be reviewed at least every five years.
Status of Associate Members will be reviewed at least annually. Associate Members can become Full Members at this review.

- A list of all current funding
- A paragraph of research interest and proposed collaborators with DHC current members
- A list of potential core use
The DHC Leadership will review your request with little delay.
