Pilot and Feasibility Program for Digestive Disease Projects

2009 Pilot and Feasibility Program

Applications are solicited for pilot projects to conduct basic, translational, and patient based or outcomes research broadly relating to pediatric digestive disease.  Applications will be considered in all areas of digestive disease research (gastroenterology, hepatology and nutrition) with particular emphasis on the following Digestive Health Center (DHC) research themes:

  • Chronic Liver Disease
  • Digestive Organ Failure and Transplantation
  • Inflammatory and Diarrheal Diseases
  • Obesity

Eligible applicants must have a faculty appointment at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center and/or the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine by the anticipated start date (July 1, 2010). Current membership in the DHC is not required.

The deadline for this round of awards is December 7, 2009 5:00 pm. Pilot and Feasibility applications should be focused proposals such that the specific aims can be clearly accomplished within one to two years of funding.  Funding is limited to one year support at a maximum level of $50,000.
