About

Biography

As a pediatric anesthesiologist at Cincinnati Children’s, I provide safe, pain-free care for children undergoing surgery and other procedures. I specialize in anesthesia for cardiac procedures, liver transplants and pediatric anesthesia. I also offer pediatric airway management.

I strive to be compassionate to the needs of my patients and families while providing safe care. I listen to and feel their concerns and desires. My diverse background in cardiac and liver anesthesia care gives me a well-rounded perspective on medically challenging children

My love for children inspired my career choice. In my last year of medical school, I met two amazing pediatric anesthesiologists and discovered I could combine my passion for children with my interest in anesthesia. I completed a pediatrics residency, an anesthesia residency and a pediatric anesthesia fellowship.

In my research work, I study clinical issues related to:

  • Renal failure during surgery
  • Temperature during liver transplant
  • Total pancreatectomy with islet autotransplantation (TPIAT) blood flow issues during surgery

In 2017, I was honored to receive a Letter of Recognition for Outstanding Clinical Care from my hospital peers.

During my free time, I stay active as a yoga instructor. I also like to run, hike, travel, play guitar, and especially spend time with my family, friends and dog. I go on mission trips and have been an exchange student twice.
