About

Biography

I’m an assistant professor of pediatrics at Cincinnati Children’s, dual-trained in internal medicine and pediatrics. I’m passionate about centering patient and family experiences in every aspect of care. Building trust is at the heart of my approach, and I strive to bring equity consciousness, kindness, and compassion to every interaction.

My inspiration to become a physician began with my grandfather, who was also a doctor. His example, along with my desire to give back to the community, led me to medicine. I’m driven by the belief in the brilliance and beauty of children and adolescents, and I’m committed to translating research and evidence into advocacy and policy that create meaningful change at the neighborhood and community level.

My research focuses on firearm injury prevention, violence prevention, policy analysis, and health equity. I’m especially interested in how primary care and community can work together to prevent firearm injury, what policies are most effective, and how we can develop trauma-informed narratives for policymakers. Through broad, cross-sector coalitions, I aim to advance accurate and equitable narratives around firearm injury and promote secure firearm storage.

Outside of work, I love exercising, trying new restaurants, exploring parks, and stargazing at observatories. I also enjoy chasing after my energetic child and our dog.
