As a pediatric neuropsychologist, my approach to neuropsychological care centers on helping patients and families better understand how a child thinks, learns, and functions in everyday life. With specialized training in working with children with complex medical and neurological histories, I consider many factors that may influence a child’s development and cognitive functioning. Each child has a unique pattern of strengths and challenges, and my goal is to understand that pattern in the context of their developmental and medical history. I approach each neuropsychological evaluation as an opportunity to listen and learn about the whole child. I work closely with patients and families to translate assessment findings into practical recommendations that can be used at home, school, and in the community. I strive to make the evaluation process collaborative and understandable so that families leave with a clearer sense of their child’s cognitive strengths, areas where they may need support, and concrete strategies to help them succeed.
