Kristen M. Boyce, MSN, APRN, CPNP

I am a pediatric nurse practitioner specializing in primary care services. I help parents and patients navigate their child's and their own growth and development and serve as a resource for patients and families throughout their pediatric phase of life.

Growing up, my pediatricians greatly impacted my life and inspired me to become a pediatric nurse practitioner. I have always enjoyed working with children. It's amazing to see them grow, develop and hit each milestone. They are full of wonder and are constantly learning new things — it's so inspiring!

I've worked for Cincinnati Children's for almost 25 years, first as a nurse and for the last 22 years as a nurse practitioner in the Department of Anesthesia. In my anesthesia role, I worked with various departments at Cincinnati Children's and developed a solid understanding of pediatric surgical and non-surgical conditions. I'm excited to build on that knowledge by working with patients in primary care, where I can be a more consistent part of their lives as they grow and develop.

It was my honor to receive the Outstanding Graduate Student Award from the University of Cincinnati College of Nursing and a team award of recognition from Cincinnati Children's Orthopedic Surgery Department for the development of a small team approach to streamlining patient care and coordination in the perioperative process.

When I'm not working, I love to spend time with my husband and three children, as well as our friends, extended family and two Goldendoodles — Lucy and Lorelai. My favorite things to do are travel, go to concerts, hike, read, go boating, watch outdoor movies and cheer on our favorite sports teams — especially football. Some interesting things about me: I love Hallmark movies, and anything Fall or Christmas. I have also been to over 75 concerts!
