About

Biography

I pursued the field of human genetics after discovering that I could combine my fascination with genetics with helping patients from behind the scenes. I love the collaborative aspect of working with physicians to find a clinical diagnosis to enhance patient care.

As a laboratory geneticist, I work in the lab, where I specialize in clinical cytogenetics and clinical molecular genetics. I direct the Genetics and Genomics Diagnostic Laboratory at Cincinnati Children’s. It's important to remember that behind every case and every vial of blood, a patient and a family are waiting for results that could be life-changing. I instill this view in my team so that we all work with the highest integrity for our patients.

In my free time, I enjoy birding, and I relieve stress by building LEGO sets. I’m also an avid Disney fanatic and a Minnesota Vikings fan.
