As a school psychologist, I specialize in the evaluation and evidence-based treatment and care of children with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). Additionally, for the past several years, I have been in school administration roles, where I served as a director of mental health and related services and as an executive director of special education. I care about helping all children and families learn and develop tools to prevent emotional and behavioral health difficulties. I leverage my extensive experience and knowledge about special education to better support my patients and families along their treatment journey.
I was inspired to do this kind of work to help my patients and families overcome the challenges that children with ADHD face in the academic, social and home environments. I’m passionate about empowering families and educators with strategies to enhance the well-being and success of children with ADHD. I enjoy listening to my patients and families to develop a shared vision and plan for treatment. I value the input from parents and believe they are the experts on their children. I also help navigate other systems, such as schools and community settings, to improve patient outcomes.
As a researcher, I want to understand how to improve school, hospital and community relationships to better meet the needs of patients and families and make behavioral healthcare more accessible and sustainable. In addition to my clinical and research work, I actively participate in community outreach and education, offering workshops and training sessions to increase awareness and understanding of ADHD.
When I’m not at work, I enjoy spending time with my two kids and husband. I like traveling, cooking and being outdoors.
