About

Biography

As a nurse practitioner, I care for infants through adolescents who are a part of the Aerodigestive and Esophageal Center. Our multidisciplinary team specializes in caring for children with complex esophageal anomalies, airway, lung, upper digestive tract and feeding issues.

I assist families by coordinating care with multiple teams to provide the best outcome for their child. When surgical intervention is needed, I help them through the preoperative, postsurgical and post-discharge journey. My care approach is to relay complex treatment plans so that each family and patient can easily understand them.

Since becoming a registered nurse and now a nurse practitioner, I have been interested in the fast pace of surgery. It is gratifying to share in the patient’s journey and assist them to return to their everyday lives. I love working with children and families and being part of a multidisciplinary team that looks at the whole child and develops plans to improve their quality of life.

As a researcher participating in quality improvement studies, I aim to identify areas in the Esophageal Center that can be improved. By providing individualized, evidence-based care to each patient, we promote the best practices that contribute to living a long and happy life.

When I’m not working, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. I love the great outdoors and enjoy camping and traveling with my husband and three daughters.
