As a psychiatrist in the Division of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, I treat patients with various psychiatric disorders. When I make recommendations about treatments to patients or parents, I like to think about what I would do if this were my child.

I became a physician because I enjoy solving puzzles and have always loved science. My care approach is evidence-based, and I stay up to date on the current standards of care in psychiatry as the field evolves with new research findings and recommendations.

When I’m not working, I enjoy swimming, running, traveling and art. I also lived in Japan for six years, which helped shape my worldview and my thinking about different cultures.
