About

Biography

I am a pediatric critical care physician dedicated to caring for critically ill and injured children in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU). The PICU is a place where physiology, technology, teamwork, and humanity intersect, and I am drawn to the intensity, collaboration, and shared purpose that define this work. What I love most about critical care medicine is the privilege of being present and supporting children and families during moments of profound vulnerability and uncertainty.

My professional interests are deeply informed by my personal experience as a survivor of out-of-hospital cardiac arrest, which inspired my lifelong commitment to critical care medicine, resuscitation science and patient- and family-centered care.

A key focus of my career is advocating for and improving the experience that patients and families have in the ICU. I am committed to trauma-informed, equitable, and compassionate care, with particular emphasis on communication during high-stress and emotionally complex situations.
