I'm a clinical fellow in the Division of Critical Care Medicine. I was inspired to work with children because of their boundless energy and the complex dynamics between children, parents and their physicians.
My interest in research stems from conducting gene co-expression research while an undergraduate at Clemson University and conducting clinical informatics research in medical school at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine. I'm particularly interested in bioinformatics (transcriptomics, proteomics and epigenomics) and clinical informatics (big data and electronic medical records (EMR) improvements). Ultimately, I aim to identify precision targets for the prognostic and therapeutic benefit of children with septic shock.
When not at work, I love to spend time with my family and play golf.
