I am a pediatrician working with children in the urgent cares and emergency room at Cincinnati Children’s.
Empowering parents to be active partners in their child's care and teens to engage in their own care is at the core of my practice. I love providing education to my patients and their families and becoming a part of their team—even if only for a short period during their emergency stay.
I like to talk things through with families, so they have a solid understanding of what’s happening with their child and what the following days or weeks might bring. It’s important they understand why specific tests and treatments may or may not be needed in their particular case, and I take the responsibility of educating them about these matters very seriously.
I’ve always loved science and working with people, so medicine is the perfect fit for me. The amazing energy that children bring, even when they’re not feeling well, is what drew me to pediatrics and continues to inspire me every day.
Outside of my practice, I enjoy spending time with my family, especially outdoors. Our favorite vacations are visiting our national parks. I also love to run! I've completed 11 half-marathons and three full marathons so far.
