About

Biography

I am a dual-trained pediatric intensivist and pediatric nephrologist. I care for critically ill children in the intensive care unit, and I have particular expertise in supporting children with complex kidney-related conditions who require advanced organ support such as continuous kidney replacement therapy. I consider it a true privilege to care for children and their families during some of the most challenging moments of their lives, and I strive to provide compassionate, family-centered care.

My academic work is focused on improving outcomes for children at risk for acute kidney injury, particularly in the settings of critical illness, cardiac surgery, sepsis, and liver disease. I collaborate on multicenter and international research efforts to improve the identification, treatment, and outcomes after kidney injury, with a strong emphasis on patient-centered outcomes.

Education and mentorship are central to my work. I have held national leadership roles in fellowship education and enjoy mentoring trainees
