As a pediatric gastroenterology, hepatology and nutrition fellow, I care for children with a wide range of gastrointestinal conditions, including inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), constipation, malnutrition, disorders of gut-brain interaction (DGBI), acute and chronic pancreatitis, exocrine pancreatic insufficiency, cystic fibrosis GI manifestations, and complex malabsorption. As I transition into faculty, I’m excited to focus even more on pancreatic disorders and continue supporting children and families through their unique journeys.
I believe great pediatric care begins with truly listening to families. Managing chronic gastrointestinal symptoms can be overwhelming, so I focus on clear communication, understanding, and partnership. Together with our multidisciplinary team, I tailor care plans to improve everyday comfort, support healthy growth, and help children get back to enjoying life. Children bring unmatched resilience and optimism to the clinic, and that energy inspires me every day. I was drawn to gastroenterology and pancreatology because digestion and nutrition form the foundation of a child’s development.
My research centers on improving the diagnosis and management of pediatric exocrine pancreatic insufficiency. I’m studying endoscopic pancreatic function testing, biomarkers, and imaging to detect pancreatic disorders earlier. My goal is to optimize enzyme therapies, support long-term growth, and translate clinical findings into better daily care for children.
Outside of work, I enjoy working out, hiking, exploring local parks and traveling for new adventures. I also have a passion for casual nature photography and historical or ancient art, which help me unwind and recharge. In clinic, I always look forward to hearing about my patients’ own hobbies, sports, and favorite adventures!
