I knew I wanted to work with children even before starting nursing school. After working for a few years as an inpatient registered nurse at Cincinnati Children's, I gained a stronger desire to work in primary care pediatrics. I wanted to watch children flourish and grow through the years and provide support and guidance for them and their families. That's when I decided to further my education and become a nurse practitioner.
It's a privilege to support children and their caregivers through such an amazing, and sometimes challenging, period of their lives. I strive to include families in their child's care plan, and my approach for each visit is as if I was caring for my own child. In addition to well-child checks and sick visits, I also see children and teens for emotional concerns of depression and anxiety.
I am a member of Sigma Theta Tau (Nursing Honor Society) and the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners.
In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my husband and two sons. I also like reading, gardening, birdwatching and baking.
