Charles Hutchison, MD, FAAP

I am a pediatrician specializing in general pediatrics, caring for children in an outpatient setting. My approach centers on listening—because I believe the most important thing I do when caring for children is to truly hear them and their families. Often, children and parents need to know that I understand before they hear what I have to say. Every child and family is unique, and I take the time to make sure the care I provide is the best fit for each child.

My journey into medicine wasn’t always aimed at pediatrics, but working at a summer camp for kids during my college years changed everything. The connections I made and the smiles I saw made it clear that I wanted to work with children as a career. Those experiences inspired me to dedicate myself to helping kids grow up healthy and happy.

I am proud to have been part of the Springboro community for 30 years. It’s incredibly rewarding to see many of the kids I cared for early in my career now bringing their own children to see me. That sense of continuity and trust is what makes my work so meaningful.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family, traveling, and gardening. I like to try new things when I can; recently, I started playing pickleball and discovered that I like cauliflower!
