About Me

Biography

I take pride in caring for each child and family as if they were my own. I see the stress families endure when a child is sick, and I want them to know that I understand and value their experience.

As a nurse practitioner, my goal is to build a strong partnership with families as they navigate their child's healthcare journey. I specialize in caring for children with pancreatic conditions, especially those preparing for or recovering from a TPIAT (total pancreatectomy with islet auto transplantation).

My interest in medicine and healthcare began at a young age. The inspiration grew as I approached college and received guidance from teachers and mentors.

My research focuses on understanding who is most severely affected by pancreatitis and how to improve their care. I have authored and contributed to multiple published articles related to pancreatitis.

In my free time, I love to travel — anywhere, anytime. I'm always up for a road trip. I enjoy long distance running and have completed a marathon, several half-marathons and many smaller running events. I also enjoy the water — especially swimming, tubing and boating. I hope to one day retire at a lake.
