I’m a social worker in the Cancer and Blood Diseases Institute (CBDI) survivorship program. I have more than 30 years of experience working with children and families in various supportive roles.
My care philosophy centers on treating all patients and families with respect and dignity. Talking with patients and families with social service needs and getting to know them individually helps build trust. During their CBDI clinic appointment, patients will have an individual meeting with a social worker to assess any social service needs and provide support, information and resources.
When I’m not working, I love reading psychological thrillers, taking as many yoga, barre and Pilates classes as possible, and hiking with my husband and our dog.
