I have always loved the pediatric population. Children are some of the most resilient people I have ever worked with! After volunteering at Cincinnati Children’s during high school, I knew that I would eventually want to be a part of something here.
As a nurse practitioner, I work in the Division of Pediatric Otolaryngology with patients who have airway conditions and tracheostomies. I find this work extremely rewarding. Breathing is obviously vital to life and working with some of the top airway physicians and surgeons in the world to help a child breathe is an amazing role.
I approach each patient as an individual and then as a part of a family unit. I like to learn about the patients, find out their interests and talk to them on their level. I also find it extremely important to establish a relationship with the entire family.
In my research, we are looking at overall improvement in patient care and outcomes.
I love to spend my free time with my two children at the park. I like to work out, read and hang out with our rescue cat, Gecko!
