As a physician assistant, I work with children who have had neurosurgery procedures. I enjoy helping my patients’ post-operative care go smoothly so they can focus on what is most important to them — being a kid.
I specialize in nuclear medicine studies, shunt taps and reprogramming adjustable shunts. Shunts drain fluids from the brain after surgery to avoid abnormally high pressure in that area. I meet nearly all post-operative neurosurgery patients and assist with their recovery by practicing patient-focused care. I always do what is best for my patients.
When I’m not at work, I enjoy running, cycling, hiking and playing with my toddler.
