As a pediatric head and neck surgeon, I specialize in airway reconstruction, complex airway surgery and aerodigestive disorders. I believe that each patient is unique and deserves an individualized treatment approach. Getting to know my patients and their families is one of the most rewarding parts of my work, and I make it a priority to incorporate shared decision making into every care plan. I want families to feel heard and empowered as we work together to find the best solutions for their child.
My passion for ENT stems from the opportunity to help children with some of life’s most fundamental activities—breathing, eating, drinking and communicating. There is so much joy in working with children; they keep me on my toes. It’s incredibly gratifying to watch them grow and accomplish their goals.
I am committed to advancing care through research, with a particular interest in understanding the factors that affect healing and outcomes in airway reconstructive surgery. My goal is to optimize pre- and post-operative care so that every patient can achieve the best possible results. I also enjoy teaching and was honored to receive the Outstanding Surgical Educator award in 2021 for my role in training pediatric residents.
Outside of work, I love running and spending time on my farm with my partner and our ever-growing family of animals. Originally from Louisiana, I enjoy cooking and sharing Cajun food, though I admit I sometimes struggle not to make it “too spicy!”
