Andrew Krueger, MD

I am a pediatric gastroenterologist at Cincinnati Children’s. Caring for resilient kids, whether they’re healthy or facing illness, is a privilege and I’m passionate about helping them thrive. Pediatric gastroenterology can play a critical role in facilitating growth, nutrition, and development, and I strive to ensure every child can live their best life.

My interest in medicine, and celiac disease in particular, is personal. My mom and sister were diagnosed with celiac disease, which inspired me to focus my research and clinical care on understanding how this condition presents in children and how we can better support families navigating gluten-free diets. I’ve spent much of my research career exploring pediatric celiac disease, especially the prevalence and impact of gluten-free food insecurity and working to develop solutions for families facing these challenges.

Advocacy is at the heart of pediatrics, and I value the opportunity to champion the health and well-being of my patients, not just in the clinic, but at the individual, local, state and national levels.

Outside of work, I enjoy playing and watching soccer, as well as cooking for family and friends.
