As a pediatric nurse practitioner (PNP), I specialize in pediatric dermatology with a special interest in hemangiomas and vascular anomalies. I enjoy providing care to patients and families with simple and complex dermatologic issues.
I started work at Cincinnati Children's in 1987 while in nursing school and then began my career as a nurse in 1990. I worked with infants and toddlers on a medical-surgical unit, then in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) and on the Transport Team while obtaining my Master of Science in Nursing (MSN). I worked as a PNP providing primary care for kids with special needs until I left Cincinnati Children's in 2010. I continued my career in the mid-Atlantic and spent ten years at Children's National in Washington, D.C., working with ear, nose and throat (ENT) patients, then with vascular anomalies and dermatology while participating in the multiple-disciplinary Vascular Anomalies Clinic. I fell in love with dermatology and returned to Cincinnati Children's to join the Division of Dermatology.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family and our dog, Zeke. I like outdoor activities, including running — I’ve run a marathon and participated in half marathons, triathlons and multiple small races.
