As a nurse practitioner in the Division of Bone Marrow Transplantation and Immune Deficiency, I work mostly in the inpatient setting. I also have experience working with outpatients as an educator.
I was inspired to pursue medicine as a career by my grandfather, who was a family physician and is still my daily inspiration.
My philosophy of care is to listen carefully to patients and their families, and to always remember that parents are the experts on their child. In 2017, a patient’s family nominated me for the Daisy Nursing Award, which recognizes extraordinary nurses.
In my free time, I like to run, run and run! I also love to hang out with my two little children.
