About

Biography

I specialize in pediatric cardiac anesthesia. I love being part of a team that always strives for excellence. When you care for a child, you are caring for the whole family. Families don't get to meet every person in the operating room, but they should know how seriously every member of the team is committed to their work. Every family matters to us.

Much medical knowledge can only be gained through experience. One of my goals is to optimize our team dynamics so that people love and stay in their jobs. It's important to develop a culture where people can speak up, collaborate and learn well together. I pursued a master's degree in applied positive psychology to understand what helps people thrive. I've done my best to bring the research from that field into our operating room. We all know how important it is to show up as our best selves. How do we do that? We are at our best when we work with others to do something greater than ourselves. That's what we try to do every day. It matters to our families. It matters to us.

When I'm not working, I enjoy spending time with my family and our very silly dogs.
