I’m a nurse practitioner in the Division of Bone Marrow Transplantation and Immune Deficiency. I respect every patient and their caregivers by including them in the care plan and always listening to their concerns.
My mother is a nurse practitioner and watching her advance in her career intrigued me to do the same. I have always loved working with children and young adults, so I knew pediatrics was the right specialty for me.
As a nurse, I care for many bone-marrow transplant patients in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU). I appreciate the complexity of transplant patients, specifically bone marrow transplant patients.
When I’m not working, I love to spend time with my husband and two kids. Watching my kids play sports is one of my favorite things to do.
