How We're Keeping You Safe | What Patients & Families Need to Know
Clinical Fellow, Division of Critical Care Medicine
For one of Dr. Maxwell's research projects for fellowship training, she is analyzing the epidemiology and sociodemographic characteristics of the patients that are admitted to the hospital and the PICU with diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA). She is working with the Division of Endocrinology at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center on this project with the intention that after analyzing the data, they can engage the communities most affected in creating an intervention to reduce the overall incidence of DKA. Secondly, as part of her Quality Scholars Program, she is leading a quality improvement project on improving communication with families in the PICU.
